Ron Nevin is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He has strong clinical skills enhanced by a natural ability to build therapeutic rapport with patients and families. He follows evidenced-based guidelines complemented with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition.
Ron was born and raised in Arizona. He has over 17 years of psychiatric experience as an Registered Nurse. He had an opportunity to serve a two-year mission for his church in Thailand where he experienced personal challenges, cultural influences, unique traditions and other experiences that helped him become more compassionate and empathetic. Being the youngest of eight children he was able to learn how to be an attentive listener. Ron’s goal for his clients is for them to feel heard and empowered. He is direct, honest, and open with his clients. When working with Ron you will have a dedicated advocate on your side. Ron believes that mental health is an essential part of healthcare. He believes that due to stigma it has not always been treated as such, and hopes to be part of changing this.
When not at work Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and five children and two dogs. He enjoys playing games, reading, puzzles, woodworking, and DIY projects. He also enjoys being outdoors hiking, playing sports and watching sports.
